Crochet Easter Peeps
Supplies
- Crochet hook G/4.00 mm & J/6.00mm
- Yarn needle (I recommend Clover Chibi Bent Tip Needle Set)
- Fiberfill stuffing
- 6mm or 9mm safety eyes
- An extra 6mm or 9mm eye to use for the nose
- Worsted weight yarn, I used the following colors:
- Caron One Pound, Pale Green & Lilac
- Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice, Pink (Or use Caron One Pound, Soft Pink)
- Bernat Baby Blanket, Baby Blue (1 skein – 100g/3.5oz – is enough to make 1 bunny)
Notes
- Please read through the entire pattern before you start.
- Finished size:
- Peep with worsted weight yarn: 3.1” wide x 6.4” height
- Peep with blanket yarn: 4.6″ wide x 11.5″ height
- The ch 1 at the end of each row does not count as a stitch.
- Use G hook & 6mm eyes/nose for worsted weight yarn peep.
- Use J hook & 9mm eyes/nose for blanket yarn peep.
- Each peep is worked flat, in two panels, then stuffed and joined together with single crochets all around.
- Please embroider the eyes and nose if giving bunny to young children or pets, as safety eyes can pose as a choking hazard. You may also cut out small circles from felt and stick on bunny with hot glue.

Finishing
Place the two bunny pieces together, wrong sides facing each other. Work sc all around, as evenly as possible. Around 1/3 of the way through, stuff bunny and place 6mm safety eyes and also use a 6mm safety eye as the nose. Continue stuffing bunny with fiberfill as you sc around. Sl st in first sc, fasten off and weave in ends.
You can also make a small pompom for the tail!
