Steak Marinade

Ingredients:

1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons dried basil
1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic (optional)
Directions:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, white pepper, hot pepper sauce, and minced garlic.
Place steaks in a shallow glass dish with the marinade, turning to coat. For best results, cover and refrigerate for 24 hours, turning occasionally.
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat.
Brush the grill grate with oil. Place steaks on the grill, and discard the marinade. Grill steaks 7 minutes per side, or to your desired degree of doneness.

Homemade Ranch Dressing

Ingredients

½ cup buttermilk

½ cup mayonnaise

½ cup sour cream

⅛ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp sea salt

¾ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp onion powder

¾ tsp parsley

½ tsp chives

1 tsp dill weed

1 to 3 tsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

FIRST STEP:

In a large bowl add in the sour cream, buttermilk, and mayonnaise.

Stir in 1 ½ tbsp fresh lemon juice

SECOND STEP:

Using a whisk, add in each of the herbs and spices and whisk well to combine

Add more lemon juice to obtain your desired consistency.

THIRD STEP:

Place into jars or squeeze bottles and then place into the refrigerator.

Homemade Taco Seasoning

Ingredients:

2 tbsp Chili Powder

1 tbsp Ground Cumin

1 tsp Paprika

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Dried Oregano

1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes

1/2 tsp Ground Coriander

1/2 tsp Black Pepper

1/2 tsp Salt

Combine Spices: In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, ground coriander, black pepper, and salt.

Store: Transfer the taco seasoning mix to an airtight container. It can be stored for several months in a cool, dry place.

To use, add 2-3 tablespoons of the homemade taco seasoning mix per pound of meat, adjusting to taste.

Use this flavorful seasoning for tacos, burritos, nachos, or any other Mexican-inspired dishes.

Country Gravy Mix

2 Cups All Purpose Flour

1 Cup Dry Milk Powder

1/4 Cup Cornstarch

1 Tablespoon Ground Black Pepper

1 Tablespoon Salt

2 Teaspoons Onion Powder

1 Teaspoon Poultry Seasoning.

Whisk all ingredients together and store in an airtight mason jar (or jar of your choice). This is good for at least 6 months.

Directions for making gravy

1. Melt 2 Tablespoons of fat in a saucepan. Some 'fat' options are: butter, shortening, sausage fat, or bacon grease.

2. Add 3 Tablespoons Gravy Mix

3. Cook on medium-low heat for 3 minutes (making a roux)

4. Pour in 1 cup water or milk.

5. Whisk and cook until thickened

6. You can add browned sausage to your gravy to make it a sausage gravy. This is optional but, yummy and makes it heartier!

16 oz coleslaw
1/2 cup mayo
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp mustard
2 tsp vinegar
salt & pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together
