Hot Fudge Chocolate Pudding Cake
Ingredients:
For the Cake Batter:

1 cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup milk
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Fudge Sauce:

¾ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ cups hot water
Instructions:
Prepare the Cake Batter:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch baking dish.
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined, but don’t overmix. The batter will be thick.

Spread the Cake Batter:
Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Make the Fudge Sauce:
In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cocoa powder. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the cake batter.
Pour the hot water over the top (don’t stir!). The water will settle at the bottom, creating the fudge sauce as the cake bakes.

Bake the Cake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the cake has risen and the top is firm, but a little bit of gooey sauce will still remain at the bottom.

Serve:
Once baked, let it cool slightly before serving. Spoon out portions of the cake, making sure to get a bit of the rich fudge sauce from the bottom.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for the perfect dessert!
