Apple Oatmeal Cake
Ingredients:
150g oatmeal
1 apple
40ml water
1 egg
800g apples
Raisins
1 tsp cinnamon
A little honey
100g sugar
40g butter
100ml hot cream
Salt
Instructions:
Prepare the Oatmeal Base:
Grind 150g of oatmeal into a fine powder.
Peel and cut 1 apple into small pieces.
In a blender, combine the ground oatmeal, apple pieces, and 40ml of water. Blend until smooth.
Add 1 egg to the mixture and blend again until well combined.
Pour the mixture into a greased baking tray and set aside.
Prepare the Apple Filling:
Peel and dice 800g of apples.
In a pan, melt 40g of butter over medium heat.
Add the diced apples to the pan and sauté until they begin to soften.
Add raisins, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and a little honey to the apples. Stir well and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Assemble the Cake:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Spread the apple filling evenly over the oatmeal base in the baking tray.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Prepare the Cream Sauce:
In a saucepan, heat 100ml of cream until warm.
Add 100g of sugar and a pinch of salt to the cream. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Pour the warm cream sauce over the baked cake before serving.
