Slow Cooker Cheesy Mozzarella Chicken
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts: The star of the dish.
2 teaspoons garlic powder: Adds savory flavor.
Salt and pepper, to taste: Balances the flavors.
1 cup chicken broth: Keeps the chicken moist and adds depth.
1 cup marinara sauce: Adds a rich, tomatoey base.
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning: Enhances the flavor with herby notes.
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese: For a gooey, cheesy topping.
Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.
Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
Pour the chicken broth and marinara sauce over the chicken.
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken.
Cover and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
