French Onion Butter Rice

Ingredients:

1 cup rice
2 tbsp butter
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
Add rice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine.
Pour in chicken broth, bring to a simmer, and cover.
Cook for 18-20 minutes, or until rice is tender.
Serve warm
